Bandwidth on windows XP Pro
To recover the 20% band width that Windows XP reserves, make sure that
the QoS packet schedular is present in window network then follow the
instructions below
click start
Run
type in " gpedit.msc "
under computer configuration open Administrative Templates
then Network
and click on QoS Packet Schedular
Double click on Limit Reservable Bandwidth
on the settings tab select enable
put bandwidth limit down to 0%
click OK
close gpedit
Reset TCP/IP in Windows XP Pro
To reset the TCP stack click on the windows START button then on RUN
type in CMD then click on OK, this should open a DOS Prompt
type the following
NETSH INT IP RESET C:\RESET.TXT
press enter, you should return to the DOS Prompt again
then restart the computer
if you have windows xp service pack 2 installed use the following command instead
NETSH WINSOCK RESET CATALOG
if you get an error during any of these you should consult with your computer vendor
